In a direct trial before the Permanent Criminal Court Larnaca - Famagusta that will meet on October 16, 2017, the District Court of Famagusta referred on Thursday, the three people, aged 29, 35 and 51, who were arrested in connection with the armed at a kiosk in Protaras in the early hours of August 15, 2017.
Yesterday, the District Court of Famagusta had postponed for today its decision whether the three arrested will remain in custody until the beginning of the hearing.
At around 11 a.m., the court ordered that the three detainees remain in custody at Central Prison.
It is recalled that around 4.30 in the early hours of August 15, two men who had their faces covered with hoods, entered the kiosk in Protaras and under the threat of a pistol and the use of spray, managed to snatch from the fund the amount of € 1,200 and fled.
One of the two perpetrators, 29 years old, was stopped by the kiosk employee and other attendees who chased him and was handed over to the Police.
Then, after relevant examinations, the 35-year-old was arrested with a court warrant, while on August 21, the 51-year-old resident of Larnaca was also arrested.
Yesterday, the three people were brought before the Court, which referred them to a direct trial before the Permanent Criminal Court of Larnaca - Famagusta, which will meet in Larnaca on October 16, 2017.
