An agreement was recently signed at the City Hall of Deryneia, which concerns the elaboration of a study for the design and upgrade of the Municipal Public Market of Deryneia.
As stated by the Mayor of Deryneia, Mr. Andros Karagiannis, this is a project that will contribute to increasing the sales of producers and the very affordable prices to buyers.
Laiki Agora has been operating every Saturday since 2013 and attracts hundreds of producers from all over Cyprus as well as several consumers due to the very affordable prices and the quality of the products.
The goal is, said Mr. Karagiannis, the upgrading of the Laiki Agora with the creation of shelters, cafes, leisure facilities, parking lots and sanitary facilities, so as to contribute to its smooth operation, while the Municipality of Deryneia, as he said, promotes the project for financing through of Rural Development Funds 14-20.
