The professions of 2020 or 2040 today may seem like science fiction scenarios, but for those who will follow them, they will lead to a sure professional rehabilitation…

According to research by the British Ministry of Enterprise, Innovation and Skills, technological and scientific progress will play a key role in shaping new professions.

The scientific research, under the auspices of Fast Future Research, revealed a list of 10 professions, which do not exist today but are expected to pique the interest of future employees.

The relevant list is as follows:

1. Manufacturers of human body parts
Scientists with knowledge of medicine and technology that will make artificial human limbs.

2. Nanomedicine
Significant advances in nanotechnology may create a new specialty in medical science.

3. Farmers of genetically modified food
The traditional form of agriculture will change and young farmers will turn to the cultivation of genetically modified plants and animals.

4. Elderly counselors and caregivers of the elderly
As the population ages and life expectancy grows, seniors will have many career opportunities ahead of them. The elderly will need specialists, who will deal with new therapies, their mental health and their training.

5. Surgeons to increase memory
The new specialty will be able to add extra memory to the human brain.

6. Scholars of ethics and philosophers of the new sciences
As scientific progress accelerates in areas such as cloning, society will seek voices of challenge and moral barriers. This industry will study the evolution of society and help people make ethical choices.

7. Space pilots, space guides and architects
Those who invest in space education will win. The development of space presupposes space pilots, guides for visitors, as well as architects for the design of facilities.

8. Virtual lawyers
The more we communicate online, the greater the need for specialist lawyers to resolve legal disputes between people living in different countries with different legal systems.

9. Digital teachers
Modern computers may replace the classroom teacher.

10. Data wipers
The increase of electronic data and information for each of us, will lead to the demand for special cleaners that will be safely disposed of that is unnecessary.
