It provokes the pseudo-state in the Occupied TerritoriesThe so-called Ministry of Energy and Finance of the pseudo-state today signed an "agreement on oil field services and production sharing" with the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TRAO). The signing took place in the presence of Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Gildiz, who arrived earlier in occupied Nicosia for an illegal visit. The "agreement" authorizes TRAO to conduct research, drilling and processing in areas located within the Cyprus EEZ. Earlier, the Turkish minister met with the so-called Prime Minister Irsen Kucuk, who said that the Greek Cypriot side has been focusing on the issue of oil and gas since 2003. He added that it would be more appropriate to discuss these issues after finding a solution in Cypriot. For his part, the Turkish minister described as a right move the authorization of the TRAO to conduct exploration for oil and gas in the sea area of the pseudo-state, in his statement. He added that the actions of the Greek Cypriots in the Mediterranean are wrong and that the potential oil and gas fields must be shared fairly.
