The submission of interest was completed at 13:00 by members of the Party. The relevant announcement states that “according to the Statute of the Party and the Regulation on the Election of Candidates, the General Manager, after examining all the candidacies based on Article 5.5 of the Regulation, has decided that: All meet the criteria and are acceptable. There are candidacies that due to quotas or statutory provisions are excluded from the internal party process. For the provinces of Nicosia and Larnaca, a District Electoral Assembly will be held on April 3, in which all members of the province vote. For the provinces of Limassol and Paphos, there is an additional candidacy and based on the Rules, Article 5.5.3, the District Electoral Assembly is not held and the candidates are referred to the Politburo of the Party. For the provinces of Famagusta and Kyrenia, the candidates are as many as the available positions and therefore are announced as selected ".
