The presence of the retirees was massive in their established annual general assembly, which took place yesterday, at the Renaissance House.
According to today's announcement, the Assembly honored with his presence the Mayor Andros Karagiannis, who congratulated the retirees for their great contribution and assured them that the Municipal Council will always be by their side.
He made a special mention of the Club of the Elderly of Deryneia, which will be operational soon.
The Secretary General of the Union of Cypriot Pensioners (EKYSY) Costas Skarparis, informed the attendees about the action of the Union and about the struggle it is carrying out for the recovery of the rights of the elderly.
The Secretary of EKYSY Deryneia Kyriakos Asprou made a report on the rich action of the Local organization.
Finally, the election of the new Local Committee took place while the choir of EKYSY Deryneia presented a short program from its new repertoire.
