A counter-terrorism alert was sounded late at night in Paris when authorities evacuated the Gare du Nord metro station amid reports that three suspects were boarding one of the trains heading there.
The alarm went off for a while and then the French police started to open the station gradually.
A witness told Reuters there were at least 10 police vehicles outside the station in central Paris.
"End of verifications. "Gradual return to normalcy," police tweeted.
Authorities did not issue a statement or details about the incident.
