The Israeli government has decided to build a new settlement in the occupied West Bank for the first time in 20 years.
The construction will take place near Nablus, in order to house the families who left Amona by court decision.
Amona was evacuated from Jewish families in February following a ruling by Israel's Supreme Court, which ruled the land was private and owned by Palestinians.
The Netanyahu government's decision was condemned by the Palestinian Authority, while Washington has not yet made an official statement.
