A gold and a bronze medal were the report of Cyprus on the first day of the Pan-European Shooting Games, held at the new Larnaca International Shooting Range. 

The gold medal was secured by the women's national team on stage, with Andri Eleftheriou (72/75), Panagiota Andreou (67/75) and Louiza Theofanous (75/75) and with a total result of 204/225, while the bronze medal Andri Eleftheriou won it in the individual classification of the women's team, with a final result of 93/100 (72 + 21). Andri Eleftheriou had the opportunity to "beat" even the gold medal, after leading in the final, equal to Erzjanik Avetisyan from Armenia with 72/75. The Armenian shooter finally climbed to the highest podium with 96/100 (72 + 24), while the silver medal went to Germany and specifically to the world champion Christine Wenzel with 95/100 (71 + 24).

Cyprus is doing very well after the first day and in the categories of men and teenagers on the stage. In the juniors, the young Nikolas Vassileiou leads without losses (50/50), while below are the juniors international George Kazakos with 46/50 and Panagiotis Kyprianou (41/50), while the national junior team is in second place, equal. with the Italian national team with 137/150, one record behind the Czech Republic which leads with 138/150 and two records above Armenia, which follows with 135/150.

In the men's section, where the Swede Nilsson leads with 50/50, Antonis Andreou collects 49/50, George Achilleos 48/50 and Andreas Hasikos 47/50. In the men's group standings, where Italy leads with 146/150 and Greece with 145/150, Cyprus is in third place, equal to Ukraine and Norway, with a total score of 144/150.
