They give exceptional plots in Dasaki Achnas

The exceptional allocation of 23 plots in Dasaki Achnas to young families displaced by the community of Achnas was decided at its last session by the Council of Ministers, in an effort to keep them in the community according to today's publication of the newspaper Phileleftheros.

Many of the young people are forced to leave as there is no land available for housing development.

As pointed out in the proposal submitted to the Council of Ministers by the Minister of Interior Socrates Hasikos, the community of Achna Forest is entirely on British Base lands where until today the commercial exploitation of land has not been allowed and, at the same time as the Minister of Interior stated, private land of community boundaries is limited to meet the housing needs of the settlement.

As a result of this situation, young couples from the community are forced to leave it after 2013, due to the financial crisis, the concession of state housing plots, since there are no private plots to buy or apartments or ready-made houses for sale.
