An alternative charity cafe opened in Avgorou

The alternative charitable cafe "As Pollate Lakirtin" opened yesterday Sunday at the Ethnographic Museum of Avgoros.

The cafe is an initiative of the theatrical youth group "Digorgein" which consists of young people from Avgorou and the rest of the province of Famagusta.

The cafe, which will be open after Easter every Sunday, is housed in the Ethnographic Museum of Avgoros, an imposing farmhouse of Adamos Koutras, built in 1925, which today functions as a museum of cultural and folklore heritage by the Community Council of Avgoros and the Foundation .

As Angelos Fiakas, President of the theatrical group Dimiourejin, told us, the goal of the cafe is the charitable offer throughout the year since all the net income will be donated to charity, while in this way the people will come closer to museum which will come to life every Sunday.

The artistic and construction supervision was undertaken by Nikolas Rotsidis, many residents of Avgoros offered delicacies and objects for the operation of the Cafe and of course the implementation of the idea and the manning of the cafeteria were undertaken by the children of the theatrical group "Dimourgein".

The theatrical group "Create" was created in 2013 by young people from the community of Avgorou and since then they have uploaded great performances, such as the tragedy "Phoenix" by Euripides and the comedy "Wealth" by Aristophanes, as well as the musical-theatrical tribute to Vassilis Michaelides, Ἡ Romiosyni ἔ ᾽ ᾽........,,, Όλες όλες όλες όλες όλες..........................
