According to the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Giannis Karousos, "the twin towers will consist of luxury apartments and suites and are part of the infrastructure of the Ayia Napa Marina. In the next few days, it is expected that the Egyptian tycoon Nahip Sauiri, the investor of the project and his associates in Cyprus, namely the Karamontanis Company, will sign the contracts with the company that will build the Marina ".

He added that "then the area of ​​the Marina in the area of ​​Makronisos will be fenced to become the construction site and it is expected that the works will start in September. The cornerstone for this magnificent project is expected to be laid on September 23 or 30 and its owners intend to give a festive character to the event ".

Answering a relevant question, Mr. Karousos said that "Marina started advertising abroad and the sale of houses and apartments began. The owners of the project will include in its advertisement abroad the wider area of ​​Ayia Napa, something that is for us an opportunity for global promotion of the Municipality ".

He also explained that "for the promotion of Ayia Napa, the Municipality and the owners of the project will work closely for the best possible result".

Asked about the work of the Marina, Giannis Karousos answered that "the port will have a capacity of 400 - 450 boats, while there will be space outside the sea for another 150 boats. Regarding the investments around the marina, apart from the twin towers that will consist of 26 floors with luxury apartments, there will also be a number of luxury villas and a luxury hotel ".

He added that "it is expected that the offshore facilities of the Ayia Napa marina will be ready in three years while the offshore investments in five years".

The Mayor of Ayia Napa also stated that "the area around the marina is a" hot spot "for investments by large and serious investors who look forward to investments commensurate with the character of the marina. The Municipality looks forward to a similar treatment of the specific individuals by the state, in order to help important developments, which are considered very important for us ".

To another question, Giannis Karousos answered that according to what the Egyptian tycoon said to himself, "he is not interested in just creating a marina in Cyprus, but in creating the best marina in the Mediterranean".
