Things are dark for the Police in the Fanierou case. One witness went to the Larnaca Police at midnight and asked for and gave a statement in which he refuted what he had said before. The Chief of Police was furious and sent a transfer to the police officers who took the statement without informing the investigators of the case. A second witness later went and asked to differentiate his testimony, but the police officers, frightened by the previous one, refused. So the witness sealed a new testimony with a bailiff and handed it over to the Police. Source: LIBERAL
