Ayia Napa is full of small talents

The heart of Cypriot football was beating in Ayia Napa on Sunday (24/4), after the sports center where the Ayia Napa Soccer Festival 2016 is held was flooded with thousands of football players but also parents, relatives and friends.

It was the busiest day of the Ayia Napa Soccer Festival 2016 as almost 250 matches were held for the Group stage in the age categories of children born from 2003 to 2009. In the categories 2004-2009 emerged the teams that continue in the knockouts taking the road to the final. On Holy Monday (25/4) the Group matches in 2003 will be completed, while on the same day the teams of the ages 2000-2002 begin their obligations in the organization.

The finals in all ten age categories will be held on Holy Wednesday (27/4) and six of them, as well as the closing ceremony, will be broadcast by Cytavision, in a connection from 15:00 to 19:00.

"There were about 450 games over the weekend without significant problems and for that I want to thank the teams and the spectators who contributed the most to the smooth running of the games" says Christos Konstantinou, on behalf of the organizers and continues: "both the arrival and The departure of thousands of people to the Ayia Napa sports center as well as the racing leg, went smoothly ". Speaking about the foreign teams, he states that "everyone is very happy both with the level of the organization and with the level of the competition".

The races are watched by scouts as well as coaches, including Federal ones.

The international Ayia Napa Soccer Festival is organized for the 16th year by the Soccer World Cyprus Association under the auspices of the KOP and with the support of the Municipality of Ayia Napa. Sponsors are CTO, UCLan Cyprus University, PASKAL School, Ocean Basket restaurants and MS Jacovides with Nurofen and Futuro products. 320 teams representing 85 academies and clubs participate in the Tournament. Ten teams came from abroad, with five different academies, from four countries.
