English teacher in Saudi Arabia the perpetrator in London

The Saudi embassy in London has confirmed that the perpetrator in London, Khalid Massoud, had lived in the country at two different times working as an English teacher. He was there from November 2005 to November 2006 and from April 2008 to April 2009.

The Saudi embassy condemned the terrorist attack.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, a friend of the perpetrator said that after the knife attack on the pub owner in 2000, Khalid Massoud had confessed to him that he was out of his mind and that he felt he wanted to kill.

When he calmed down, Massoud had told his friend that he would seek help from a specialist to manage his anger. Relatives of his second wife have reported that he was aggressive with her as well.

Meanwhile, seven of the 11 people arrested in Britain as part of an investigation into last Wednesday's terrorist attack have been released without charge.

Two men, aged 27 and 58, arrested in Birmingham remain in custody and are being questioned. Two women, a 32-year-old from Manchester and a 39-year-old from east London, were released on bail by the end of the month.

Authorities are investigating whether the perpetrator, Khalid Massoud, had accomplices.
