Nikolas Hatzigiannis, General Manager of the Cooperative, considers the legal merger of the 18 Cooperative Credit Institutions into one Bank necessary.
Speaking this morning on state radio, Mr. Hatzigianis said that it is necessary to complete the study regarding the number of branches, which need to remain to serve the public. He added that at the moment the Co-operation has 250 branches, one third of which are under-operated.
He also said that a study on the management of the human resources of the collaboration will be needed, which will take into account the new data.
