The Technical School of Paralimni, in the context of volunteering and social contribution, hosted a reception for children with special abilities of the Apostolos Pavlos center. The meal was prepared with great willingness, love and enthusiasm by students of the Hotel & Food Arts department of the third year. They cooked and served the children, who received a lot of love and enjoyed delicacies and hospitality.
The Technical School of Paralimni is present in several of the events of the Apostolos Pavlos Center, always by the side of these wonderful children and always shows through its teachers and students its charity and social face.
A few words about the Apostle Paul Center
The "Apostolos Pavlos" Center operates as a Day Center hosting people with special abilities and other related problems, over the age of 18 from all over the province of Famagusta.
The purpose of the Center is the healthy employment of individuals, the development of personal, social and professional skills, the avoidance of any form of institutionalization or social isolation, their care and safety and in general to offer a better quality of life for people with disabilities.
Also, as a continuation of the Center's work, there are two guest houses in the community where people whose families are unable to take care of them or whose parents have passed away can live.
At our Center, people are involved in various creative activities such as Fishing, JuJitsou Lesson, Gymnastics and Painting. They are also creatively employed in five laboratories which are supported and strengthened through the purchase of the products they produce.
Specifically, there are workshops: Carpentry, Confectionery, Basket Weaving, Construction and Jewelry, Recycling
Also provided by specialized staff Services of Music Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy and Special education.
