Police are investigating the causes that led to the bloody clash, taking a number of testimonies from people who may have known the differences of the young students. At the forefront of the causes that led to the bloody massacre are issues of honor among young people.

Medical examiner Angeliki Papetta was called to the scene to perform the legal autopsy on the body of the unfortunate Indian student.

As stated by Christos Mavris, Assistant Chief of Operations, "the examinations so far show that the cause of the incident was personal differences. "The Indians were somewhere and having fun together, however, at some point there was a misunderstanding between them", then they agreed to meet to resolve their differences but to no avail, which led to the tragic episode.

Warrants have already been issued against the suspects. Two have already been identified and are expected to be arrested later in the day.

According to information, the 13 people who participated in the incident, are fellow students at the same private college in the Famagusta area.

In fact, it seems that the former friends between them, recently had an intense verbal episode, which ended up as a kind of vendetta.

The scene remained blocked by the Police and is guarded.

The case is being investigated by the Famagusta Police Department.
