A 46-year-old woman who was driving her vehicle on the Nicosia - Limassol highway fell victim to robbery and abuse around 20:30 on Tuesday night, despite the exit of Lympia.According to the Police Spokesperson, Andrea Angelidis, the 46-year-old woman testified to the police that while she was driving on the highway, an unknown man signaled her to stop.
The woman, believing that he was a police officer, stepped aside and then her husband attacked her and took the amount of 250 euros. He then got her out of her car and tried to rape her.
Then, after he managed to escape, he was taken to the General Hospital of Nicosia, where he underwent examinations by doctors and a medical examiner.
Police are continuing their investigations to locate him.
