Following the fundraiser conducted by the friends of the Association of Anorthosis Famagusta in support of the Greek brothers, the Varos Association, in collaboration with the Holy Diocese of Constantia-Famagusta, proceeded with the procedures of sending aid to Greece… In the context of these procedures, the Metropolitan Mr. Vassilios visited today the facilities of the Association at "Antonis Papadopoulos" for a symbolic receipt of food.
The Metropolitan was welcomed by the Vice Presidents George Kosis and Michalis Pekris, as well as the entire administrative staff of the Association and had the opportunity to talk with him and receive his blessings, while they also guided him to the Museum of the Association.
The Metropolitan congratulated the noble contribution of the friends of the Association to Greece and assured that in the next few days the food will travel to Greece and will be properly distributed.
We remind you that after Anorthosis' agreement with AEK, the food will be given to refugee areas of Athens such as New Philadelphia, Nea Ionia and Nea Chalkidona.
