Hundreds of people are trapped inside a Hong Kong skyscraper as a fire broke out just before one in the afternoon. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a World Trade Center building in Coshway Bay, killing at least one person and wounding several others, according to the government.

The fire broke out in Hong Kong at 12:37 pm, for a reason unknown until now. In fact, at that time the skyscraper was full of people, as it is the time of the lunch break for many employees.

According to the website of the South China Morning Post, more than 300 people are trapped on the roof of the skyscraper.

Among those trapped are people who had gone shopping or to a restaurant in this 38-storey building, which has offices, shops and restaurants.

Videos circulating on the internet show firefighters trying to put out the fire and freeing civilians with special stairs.
