29 dead in traffic accidents during the holidays in Greece

The blood tax paid by the Greeks on the asphalt was heavy this year as well, as 29 of our fellow human beings lost their lives in 25 traffic accidents that occurred from December 22 to January 7. According to the official data published by the Traffic Police, in the same period there were 22 more accidents with serious injuries.

The car accident that "marked" the holidays this year was the one that happened in Crete, where a young boy and a young girl lost their lives, who even intended to get married, as well as the girl's mother, while her father was seriously injured and her little sister lighter.

According to the data, fewer people were killed this year than last year, as in the same period in 2016, 31 of our fellow citizens were killed.

Analytically, this year there were 25 traffic accidents, compared to 27 last year, in which 29 people were killed, while last year 31. There were another 22 traffic accidents with 28 seriously injured, compared to 27 and 30 respectively, last year and finally, there were 341 traffic accidents with minor injuries 443 people 344 and 452 last year.
