The body of climber Antonis Sykaris was finally collected and transported safely to Dhaulagiri Base Camp after a month.
Antonis Sykaris lost his life on April 12, while descending Mount Dhaulagiri in the Himalayas. His body remained there, as none of the missions that had been carried out to date were crowned with success.
But the last mountaineering expedition finally managed to transport the body of the climber to the Mountain Base Camp. The next step is the air transport of the body to Nepal, and then the repatriation process will begin, which is expected to take 2 to 3 weeks, according to his family.
