An announcement about the negative results of the toxicological examinations of the 24-year-old who complained that she was raped in Thessaloniki, was made public by Thanassis Ziogas's lawyer.
Regarding alcohol, he points out that "it can not be reduced by the ethanol metabolites detected in the urine in the size and severity of intoxication." As for the drugs and in particular the so-called rape pill, its detection, as he emphasizes, "was absolutely impossible anyway", because the urine sample examined was taken at least 18 hours after the complaint, while it is detected, according to him. , up to 12 hours.
Mr. Ziogas notes, in addition, that new tests will follow on the urine sample that has been kept in the laboratory of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, but also more specialized tests on other elements of the 24-year-old's body, such as the scalp and DNA samples already were detected.
"Now the real struggle for Georgia begins," concludes, among other things, his statement.
