A new earthquake measuring 5,1 on the Richter scale was recorded at 09:49 in the Cyclades with a focal depth of 5,0 km. The earthquake occurred 23 km south-southwest of Arkesini, Amorgos, and was also felt in Attica. Earlier, a 4,1 Richter earthquake was recorded in the same area.
