The reshuffle of the government was announced by government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis, following the documents regarding OPEKEPE that were sent to Parliament.

According to what was announced by the government spokesman, the government will include Margaritis Schinas (in the position of Minister of Rural Development), Makarios Lazaridis (in the position of Deputy Minister of Rural Development) and Evangelos Tournas (in the position of Minister of Civil Protection).

Yannis Kefalogiannis, Costas Tsiaras and Dimitris Vartzopoulos remain outside the government.

According to information from government sources, the most difficult decision that Mr. Mitsotakis was called upon to make was regarding Kostas Tsiaras, who "ran the reform of OPEKEPE, as it is considered, based on the evidence in the case file, that the case concerning him is not of major legal importance.

At the same time, Stelios Kontadakis, current secretary of the party's Organizational Committee and director of K. Mitsotakis' party office, will take over as the new secretary of ND in place of Kostas Skrekas until the congress. Notis Mitarakis is also up for replacement from the position of parliamentary representative of ND.
