A man died tragically in Serres when he and his wife and brother tried to cross a river in Nigrita which was swollen due to bad weather "Diomidis".
However, the rapid waters swept away the man, as a result of which he was found dead about 4 km from the place where he was initially.
He was picked up by 9 firefighters who tried at the scene, with 3 vehicles. According to the APE-MPE, so far the circumstances under which he lost his life remain unknown, while he has not yet been identified.
