Greece: Gas canisters found at Realfm facilities – Worker freed

A fire broke out around 3 a.m. in the building that houses the Real FM radio station and the Real News newspaper

A fire broke out at around 3 am in the building that houses the radio station Real FM 97,8 and the newspaper Real News at the junction of Kifissias Avenue and Parnassos Street in Marousi.

According to the Fire Department, the main cause of the fire was on the 3rd floor where serious damage was caused, while a worker who was in the building was brought down by the firemen from the stairwell and taken to a hospital with breathing problems, in order to provide her with first aid as a precaution.

According to the first information, remains of gas canisters were found in the building, while the owner, Nikos Hatzinikolaou, is talking about arson on Twitter.

The fire was brought under control about 2 hours later, by 18 firefighters who arrived at the scene in six vehicles.
