A driver of a car hit and dragged a 4-year-old child on a Carmaniola road. The incident happened a while ago in Ano Patisia, specifically on Taygetou Street at number 85.
According to information from protothema.gr, the four-year-old child escaped the attention of his parents and ran across. The driver of a passing vehicle did not manage to brake, as a result of which the child was suddenly found under the wheels of the car, in a pool of blood, as eyewitnesses say.
The first call to EKAB was made at 19:08, at 19:14 a machine had already arrived and in a few minutes an ambulance with a doctor. The child was unconscious and bleeding. Within six minutes he arrived at the hospital unconscious. Attempts were made for cardiopulmonary resuscitation, but to no avail. The child was released by his father. The driver was arrested by police on a charge of manslaughter.
The child was with his parents in the area of the Cultural Center Grava, where there is a playground, a park and a theater. This is a place with poor lighting, extremely dangerous for pedestrians and car drivers, as residents of the area say who note speaking to protothema.gr, that "many passing cars pass under pressure - there is neither a crossing nor a sign with a limit speed. "They keep talking about these problems in the municipality and nothing is being done."
