The child's last dialogue with his neighbor and grandmother

The neighbor's testimony is riveting as it describes frame by frame what unfolded yesterday starring the 2-year-old boy.

In fact, the last dialogue that the small child seems to have had was with the neighbor and his grandmother a few minutes before he disappeared and was found unconscious in the well.

"I was here at home and the child was here. He had come with his grandmother who wanted to buy something dowry and my son-in-law has it. I see the child and I ask him "What are you doing my child, let's sit here" and he answers "I will go home". His grandmother tells him "sit here and make dwarfs" and the child answers "I will not go home" and he ran forward and his mother went back and forth with the child ", the neighbor pointed out to cretapost, saying that everyone knew that the child would be at home.

Disappearance and… tragedy

Ten minutes after this scene, the worker who lays the tiles in the house seems to be looking for the little one.

"Less than ten minutes have passed since the little one left with his mom and the construction worker came and looked for the child, asking us if he was with us. We answer him negatively saying that he has gone home. He tells us that he is not home. He leaves again and they were looking together with the grandmother. His grandmother searched all over the house but did not find him. When he came out he saw the barrel and saw the child inside and the water unconscious. The water reached the middle of the barrel. If the water was high the child would not go. However it was below the waist and there were some bricks that the child stepped on to touch the water and in his attempt he fell inside.

"I hear screams and I go and they tell me that the child fell into the barrel and drowned", the neighbor said characteristically.

From death to restoration

The mother, the grandfather together with the other relatives go to the Health Center the unfortunate child. The neighbor and the child's grandmother stay at home waiting over a phone to find out the news.

"They take the child to the Harakas Health Center and sit there until 8. We are notified that the child has died. We emptied the house and yards to bring the child and the grandmother wore black. Then the priest came but they called us and told us that the little one would go to the morgue. In a little while, however, they call us and tell us that the child is breathing. Then we all made our cross. They were going for an autopsy and he finally breathed. It was a miracle. We knew for two hours that the child was dead. And his grandmother told the pope to give birth to a miracle for the child and finally it happened. "Let it happen now and a second miracle to make the child well", the neighbor emphasized characteristically.

How he got a pulse

His mother and relatives took him to the Harakas Health Center without wasting a moment, with the doctors fighting for two hours and 45 minutes to bring him back to life. Eventually, they declare him dead and notify EKAB to come and pick him up in order to transport him to the PAGNI morgue.

However, shortly before EKAB arrived at the Health Center, it was informed that the child had acquired a weak pulse. The movements of both the doctors of the Health Center and the doctor of EKAB were decisive. Within a short time, the 2-year-old child came back to life and was transported by intubation to PAGNI, where he was admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

The doctors of the Harakas Health Center warmed up the child's body and fought for 2 hours and 45 minutes to bring it back to life as they did not want to hand over the weapons in strict accordance with the protocol. Finally, after such a long time, they found that the child did not return, so they declared him dead.

The bureaucratic procedures begin and EKAB is notified to go and pick up the body of the child to transport it to the morgue of PAGNI. The EKAB ambulance, together with the doctor, depart for the Health Center.

However, it seems that the child, after warming his body and after so many hours of resuscitation efforts, showed signs of life around 20.00 at night. Characteristically as it was said his blood started to flow and go to the heart giving a heartbeat.

The doctors of the Health Center, without wasting time, inform again the ambulance that was going to receive it for the new development. The doctor of EKAB who arrived at the spot and received the child finds that he has a weak pulse and specifically 60 pulses. These pulses in a two-year-old child indicate opposition, however the doctor did not put it down and started new recovery efforts.

From the first massages that the child did, he responded as his pulse rose to 120. The hope does not seem to be lost with the doctor of EKAB without hesitation to inform PAGNI so that the child can be intubated.
