After the announcement of the result, the Speaker of the House Nikitas Kaklamanis will go to the office of Konstantinos Tasoulas to announce that he will be the next President of the Republic. Statements from Mr. Kaklamanis and Mr. Tasoulas will follow.
After a joint meeting of the Parliamentary Group and the Political Bureau of the New Left, it was decided that the party's MPs would not participate in the vote as a sign of disapproval of K. Tasoulas.
