His father, describing how it all started, said that the 14-year-old "had four days of fever and on Tuesday the condition started to worsen, I have oxygen at home, nebulizers and everything, inhaled masks, we had this whole story for years, the oxygen dropped" .

Regarding the vaccine, speaking to MEGA, he said that they had talked to a doctor and he had told them to do it and that he "does not think" it would hurt the 14-year-old.

"But he was such a kid that we wondered what to do. "We were afraid to take the risk," added his father.

The 14-year-old child died within a few days despite the efforts of doctors.

Fear of the vaccine

"The fear of being vaccinated kept them unvaccinated," says a family friend.

"The family has been suffering from coronavirus for a week now, this child was a child with problems, disabled for many years. The family was unvaccinated. "Father, mother, the child and another child," he adds.

"In general, there was a slight anxiety, in a way, fear, that is, it was not in the anti-vaccination movement, nothing to do with it," the family friend later clarified.

The 14-year-old boy became seriously ill and was initially hospitalized in Lamia. On Tuesday morning he was transferred to Athens and ended up at the "Agia Sofia" Children's Hospital. "We went down on Tuesday, in two days he left," says the 14-year-old's father.

Asked if now that the child has left, he thinks that something would have changed with the vaccine, his father says "nothing would have changed".
