Greece: They snatched 19.000 euros from him to get a. Vaccination allowance

The Katerini police authorities are investigating a fraud under the pretext of granting a vaccination allowance against the coronavirus and a 54-year-old victim, from whom he expertly extracted the amount of 19.000 euros.

As the victim complained, a stranger called him the previous time and under the above pretext took out the number and the pin of his bank card, then "scraping" his bank account.

The case became known after a post made by the General Regional Police Directorate of Central Macedonia on Facebook. In the same post, it is pointed out to internet users that "no public body will ever ask for your bank codes by phone".
