Incidents between hooded men and police officers occurred on Wednesday evening after the end of the protest rally held in Syntagma Square for the train accident in Tempi.
The incidents, according to ELAS, began after the speeches that were held had ended and while the gradual withdrawal of the demonstrators had begun, when a group of people on the lower side of Syntagma Square, specifically on Filellinon Street and Mitropoleos Street, set fire to bins and threw Molotov cocktails, stones and flares at police forces, who responded with the use of chemical weapons.
The Police proceeded to detain 30 people, of which 7 were turned into arrests, in the incidents that occurred after the end of the protest rally that took place on Wednesday evening in Syntagma for the train tragedy in Tempi.
According to ELAS, a group of individuals attacked police forces with Molotov cocktails, flares and other objects, who responded with the use of chemicals.
