A woman is the first victim of the fire that has been burning in northeastern Attica for the third day.
The woman, who worked in a craft shop in Patima Chalandriou, as she was trapped in the building that was completely burnt by the passage of the fire.
"We lost our friend Nadia, we lost a very good friend and colleague," a neighbor of the business told ERT.
For his part, the owner of the business said "how he didn't leave, I can't understand. He worked for me for 20-25 years. I have 13-14 employees, most of them had gone to school because they didn't have work. I'm lost too, I don't know what to tell you, I'm also surprised by what happened."
Information transmitted by SKAI says that the woman's body was found charred in the bathroom of the business where it is estimated that she tried to find shelter when she realized that the fire in the building had spread.
Two of her colleagues who were in the building when the fire broke out are said to have described that “we saw the flames and started running, jumped over a fence. We told her "come, come" and she told us "I want to make a phone call". We couldn't do anything else."

According to other information, the unfortunate woman is over 60 years old, a foreigner and worked in the craft industry near the cemetery in the area, on Anapauses Street. At the time of the fire, all the employees of the company left the building and during the count, her absence was noticed, however, it was not possible to locate her.

It is recalled that in the last update of the Fire Department, the press representative of the Corps, Mr. Vathrakogiannis denied information that spoke of a missing person. "Because in the last hour, there is a report of a missing person in the area of the fire, we inform you that at the moment the Operations Center of the Fire Brigade has not received a call or calls for a similar incident", he had characteristically said.
Ultimately, as it turned out from her search, the 60-year-old had lost her life.
