The basic phase of recording the damage in the areas affected by the fires in Rhodes has been completed.

In particular, during the basic phase of the autopsies and records, a total of 45 autopsies and records of the affected building facilities were carried out from the levels, identifying the following per Municipal Unit:

– Municipal Unit of Lindia, including the communities of Laermos and Lardos, 7 total records of damage to residences, business premises, warehouses, stables, etc., of which (a) none is classified as dangerous for use ("red"), (b) 4 buildings are designated as temporarily – pending repairs – unfit for use (“yellow”) and (c) 3 are designated as fit for use in need of minor repairs (“green”).

– Municipal Unit of Southern Rhodes, including the communities of Gennadi and Asklepiou, 38 total records of damage to residences, business premises, warehouses, stables, etc., of which (a) 6 buildings are classified as dangerous for use ("red"), (b ) 18 are designated as temporarily – until repaired – unfit for use (“yellow”) and (c) 14 are designated as fit for use in need of minor repairs (“green”).

In total, therefore, and so far, from the 45 autopsies and in the fire-affected areas of the two Municipalities, (a) 6 buildings are characterized as dangerous for use ("red"), (b) 22 are characterized as temporary - until they are repaired - unsuitable for use ("yellow") and (c) 17 are designated as suitable for use with minor repairs ("green").

Finally, according to the ministry's announcement, although the basic phase of the autopsy process on the island of Rhodes has been completed, the services of the General Secretariat for Natural Disaster Recovery and State Aid, in a context of close cooperation with the Municipality, as well as communication with the citizens, will launch - if required - a visit to the island in the next period as a result of relevant requests.
