3-year-old Angelos is brain dead after the torture he suffered in Heraklion, for which his mother and her partner are accused.
His grandparents expressed their desire to donate his organs, according to what was reported by the commander of PAGNIS, Giorgos Chalkiadakis.
However, the lawyer for the child's 26-year-old mother, Aristea Kalaitzaki, spoke to Star and stated: "The child's grandmother is in the unpleasant position of deciding on organ donation. She will do it. What she wants is Angelos' little heart beating in another child."
Regarding the reaction of Angelos's remanded mother, the lawyer said: "She was asking her mom what the child was doing, while her mother was telling her that the child was finished, the angel was gone. As if she didn't understand what she was telling her."
