With an "Oscar interpretation", the 32-year-old pilot had managed to deceive acquaintances and relatives about the heinous crime in Glyka Nera and the murder of his wife, Caroline.
Characteristic of his hypocrisy was the funeral he had recited during the burial of the unfortunate 20-year-old Manuela in Alonissos, when he sadly said in front of the black-clad crowd that had been in the cemetery for the last goodbye, how sad he was and how unfortunate her daughter is who she will know "how wonderful her manola was".
The 32-year-old pilot, who confessed on Thursday that he drowned the young mother when he announced that she was determined to take the child and leave him, had gone to her funeral holding their 11-month-old daughter, Lydia, in his arms. The pilot broke hearts at the funeral which he uttered, facing the lifeless body of his partner, a few hours after he had killed the unfortunate girl with his own hands.
"I was lucky to meet you, very lucky that you loved me, even more lucky to be the mother of my child. "Lydia will grow up without remembering her wonderful manola, but Caroline, who was the joy of life, will be with me forever through Lydia…" he had said.
Caroline's funeral had taken place in Alonissos, at the request of her mother to her son-in-law, since the girl's father could not move due to health problems. Caroline's mother accompanied her child's body to Alonissos, traveling with her son-in-law's parents.
Less than a month later, on the 11th floor of GADA, he would confess that he was the one who ended the life of his 20-year-old wife, in front of their baby's eyes.
