The police editor, Vassilis Lambropoulos and the lawyer Giannis Marakakis spoke to MEGA about the case that has shocked the nation, the murder of Caroline in Glyka Nera by her husband, Babi Anagnostopoulos.
"I do not think that the case of Babis Anagnostopoulos has other dimensions than what has already been mentioned. The accomplices were aeolian. The case was almost closed with the data of the first days. We are now waiting for the prosecutor's proposal for the rest of the procedure ", said Mr. Marakakis.
"The authorities turned to Babis Anagnostopoulos with a long delay. It took several days, maybe ten, until he was asked for his cell phone. During this period it is self-evident that there has been an alteration of data. "Since he was given the freedom to act as the aching husband and father, there may have been communications that I do not know if the authorities can recover," said Mr. Marakakis.
"The picture we have is that some key elements have not been lost. The perpetrator did not throw the cell phone and the police have the ability to retrieve deleted files from the cell phone. It seems that there were frictions in the couple, which are mainly related to the character of the murderer ", Vassilis Lambropoulos answered.
"The sentence of Babis Anagnostopoulos will be 16 or 18 years. There are no lifetimes in Greece. On the other hand, unfortunately in Greece we are champions in lifelong ", stressed closing Giannis Marakakis.
