A Greek citizen is among the victims of yesterday's terrorist attack in the Jaffa area of Tel Aviv, according to a statement from the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Greek citizen, a resident of Jerusalem, according to protothema.gr, originally from Thessaloniki, lost his life during the attack, plunging his family and the Greek community into mourning.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its deepest sorrow for his loss and in a statement condemned the attack unequivocally, underlining the need to respect human life and fight terrorism. "We express our sincere condolences to the family and relatives of the victim," the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says.
The Greek diplomatic mission in Israel is in close communication with the local authorities to provide support to the victim's family and arrange the necessary procedures.
