Four foreigners were arrested yesterday (August 1, 2022) in the area of Kilkis, for illegal trafficking of other foreigners. One of them was additionally arrested for her crimes robberys, physical damage and termination of pregnancy at the expense of a foreign woman.
According to the Police, in the afternoon to evening of July 31, 2022 in the area of Kilkis, the four traffickers transported a 30-year-old pregnant woman with her 31-year-old husband, both from Lebanon, and their five minor children, as well as one more relative, with the intention of illegally exiting the country.
Shortly before crossing the border, the 30-year-old man attacked and physically injured the pregnant woman, taking 2.000 euros from her. She also injured her 6-year-old child who tried to help her.
The mother and her son were taken to a hospital, where it was determined that her pregnancy had been terminated.
After coordinated investigations and searches, by police officers of the Crime Prevention and Suppression Team and police officers of the Paionia Border Guard Department, the foreigners were located and arrested.
4 mobile phones, a sum of 250 euros and a small amount of cannabis were found and confiscated in their possession. Those arrested, with the case filed against them, will be taken to the Kilkis District Attorney.
