The investigation of the police officers dealing with the case of the rape of the 12-year-old girl in Colonos is continuous, as material is added to the case file every day, mainly from the contacts made via telephone and the Internet.
As the police have established, the calls to the mobile phones of the accused Ilias Michou are many in number and what they are trying to clarify is which of them led to a date with the 12-year-old and which did not.
As it has been established so far, the girl had the Viber application on her mobile phone and through it she was accessing the Blindchat application used by the 53-year-old.
Police sources said that many of the contacts were made from so-called "Pakistani mobiles", which are not traced, indicating that Ilias Michos was in contact with people familiar with pederasty who knew how to cover their tracks.
Rapists are family heads beyond suspicion
At the same time, the police are trying to unravel how many men raped the child and how many dates they had made, explaining that these two numbers are not connected as e.g. the second accused Ioannis Sofianidis had raped the child four times.
The most shocking thing is that from the investigations so far, there are at least 12 rapists who, according to police sources, were all family men, with a profile beyond suspicion. "As soon as their names are known, those around them will be in shock," a source told protothema.gr. Of these, the same sources said, five have been identified and for the rest the process is being completed.
The process of identification by the 12-year-old, which is currently suspended, will help with this, as the child is in great shock and cannot speak.
Mystery with "Michael"
At the same time, the police are trying to establish the role of a man named "Michalis" to whom the 12-year-old has referred in her statements. As the girl has said, this was one of the two persons – the other was Ilias Michos – who made the appointments and accompanied the girl to the contacts with her rapists.
The 12-year-old has so far not said anything against her mother after her arrest, instead protecting her, however the police have evidence that shows her role. According to information, Ilias Michos trapped the child as follows: first he gained the 12-year-old's trust, then he presented the scene of horror to her as if it were a game, and then he used fear, blackmailing the child into not talking, with the police officers they estimate that the child's mother had a role in all of this.
