A mother from Rethymno is facing racist behavior, who cannot find a home to stay with her child, because he suffers from autism. The complaint came to light from the person in charge of projects and structures of the Association of Parents of People with Autism in Rethymno.

The complaint was made public by the head of projects and structures of the Association of Parents of People with Autism in Rethymno, Pavlos Melissinos. It is pointed out that the mother and the child had found a home to stay, they had already given an advance payment and would sign a contract after a few days. While they were moving their things to their new home, the owner saw the child, gave them the money back and threw them on the street. According to the complaint, the child's mother is a nurse and is assigned to the Rethymnon hospital. She is currently staying in a hotel. "She is not asking for a house for free. They ask to rent !!!! Every month they meet their obligations, but the owners do NOT prefer them due to the condition of the child !!!! "I do not know the family personally. I saw the call for help from a group on facebook and I contact the manager of the group who is trying to help the family. Soon, I know that their house burned down 10 days ago. I know that they are looking for a house to stay and because of the Students and the airbnb in Rethymno it is difficult to find a home !!! Many of them found a house to stay, they gave an advance payment, they would sign contracts in a few days, until the owner prepares them, they did not tell the owner about the child's problem and when they started moving slowly as soon as the owner saw the child he gave them throw the money back and THROW them on the street. Because he was afraid that he would have a problem with the other tenants if the child cried or made a fuss because of his condition.
The family is hosted by a hotel at the moment. The child's mother is a nurse appointed at the hospital of Rethymnon. She does not ask to be given a house for free. They ask to rent !!!!
