Libya: Highest rank awarded to dead officers

By a Presidential Decree signed on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at the proposal of the Minister of National Defense, following the recommendation of the Chief of General Staff and a decision of the Council of Chiefs of General Staff (SGA), the highest rank is awarded to the following Officers, who died in the line of duty entails an increased risk as follows:

a. To Vice Admiral (YN) Glykeria Memekidou PN (AM: YN-232) the rank of Rear Admiral.

b. To Episminagos (YN) Evangelia Andreadakis (AM: 63908) the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

Also by a Presidential Decree signed on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the proposal of the Minister of National Defense and following a decision of the competent Army Crisis Council, the rank of Colonel is awarded to Sergeant Major (PZ) Georgios Voulgaris (AM: MY 21150), who died on the performance of a service that involves increased risk.
