With the situation in the wider region remaining tense with the concentration of a large number of naval forces, Turkey has made a new commitment to an area south of Kastellorizo for military exercises and more specifically to test missiles, as announced.
The area according to the Turkish Navtex is closed from 06:00 on the morning of August 18 until 15:00. During this time, according to Navtex, the Turks intend to test-fire missiles. The occupied area is close to the area that Turkey has announced it will conduct illegal searches within the Greek continental shelf.
