Three government officials in Greece resigned after the new OPEKEPE case file was forwarded to Parliament.
On Friday morning, Minister of Rural Development and Food Costas Tsiaras, Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Yiannis Kefalogiannis and Deputy Minister of Health Dimitris Vartzopoulos, who are among the 11 included in the European Public Prosecutor's Office's case file, resigned. All three are expected to request the lifting of their immunity in order to examine the charges.
Changes to the government structure are expected to be announced next, which according to information will include broader reshuffles in both the cabinet and New Democracy.
