Prosecutions were brought against the four crew members of the Blue Horizon ship after the death of the 36-year-old passenger Antonis K. in the port of Piraeus, who, in his attempt to board the liner bound for Heraklion, Crete, was pushed back by crew members, resulting in the his fall into the sea and his death.
The one member of the ship's crew who is seen in the videos pushing the unfortunate 36-year-old, the captain, was charged with intentional homicide with possible intent and dangerous interference with maritime traffic.
The other two members of the crew were prosecuted for complicity in the homicide which was carried out with possible intent, while the master was prosecuted for dangerous interference in maritime traffic.
The four crew members remain in the Piraeus courthouse and are expected to be given a deadline to apologize.
