Samos: 25 migrants found in the northwest - It is being investigated if they are connected to the shipwreck

Since the morning shipwreck in Agios Isidoros, three dead people had been identified and five people had been rescued

Earlier, 25 people were identified in Drakai Samos, including nationals from Syria, Palestine and Kuwait. At the moment, they are being transferred to the Closed Controlled Structure of Samos Island (KEDN Samos).

According to Samos24, among the people there is a pregnant woman, who was taken to the Karlovasos health center for first aid.

It has not yet been clarified if the people found in the Drakaios are related to today's shipwreck in Agios Isidoros or if it is a different incident. The competent authorities are continuing the investigations to clarify the conditions under which these people were found in the area.

Since early Monday morning, there has been a mobilization of the Coast Guard to locate and rescue foreigners who were on a boat. According to information, 33 people were on board the boat. Initially, 5 people were found on land, while three were recovered unconscious.
