The body of Mikis Theodorakis will be exhibited in a three-day popular pilgrimage

The body of Mikis Theodorakis will be exhibited in a three-day public pilgrimage to the Metropolitan Church of Athens, according to an announcement by his family.

On Thursday, September 9, the funeral service will be held at the Diocese. The details about the burial place of the great composer have not been announced, however, according to a letter he had sent to Dimitris Koutsoumbas, his wish was to be buried in his place of origin, Chania.

According to the announcement of the family, the body of Mikis Theodorakis will be exposed in a three-day public pilgrimage to the Diocese of Athens on Tuesday 7/09 and Wednesday 8/09 from 10:00 am. until 19:00 p.m. and on Thursday 9/09 from 10:00 a.m. until 14:00 pm, while at 15:00 pm. The outgoing procession will take place in the Holy Metropolis of Athens.

It is recalled that the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis declared three days of national mourning for the loss of the great Greek composer.
