The Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, met with the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, at Megaros Maximos earlier in the morning.
Government sources report that during the meeting the Prime Minister and the President of Moldova exchanged views on the prospect of strengthening bilateral relations.
In fact, as the same sources emphasize, Mr. Mitsotakis reiterated Greece's support for Moldova's European perspective, which was also expressed in the Declaration of Athens adopted on August 21 by the 11 leaders who participated in the informal dinner organized at the Prime Minister's initiative , in the presence of the leadership of the European institutions.
The prime minister also informed Mrs. Sandu about Greece's intention to open an embassy in Chisinau in the next period of time.
